The wayside at Union Creek boasts the river, the gorge, a interpretative trail that is short, yet beautiful and a living tree stump. If you're traveling north from Medford, Oregon, and the river appears on your left, you've missed the gorge wayside. If you're traveling south, the wayside is not long after the intersection of Hwy 230 or the Rogue Umpqua Scenic Byway and the Crater Lake Hwy, otherwise known as Hwy 62. The river is easily seen, especially during years of heavy precipitation. Protect our National Forestsand Wilderness Areas. Leave NO Trace! | |||||
