Little Known Mountain Passes to the Oregon Coast:

Seasonal Creek photographed en route to Florence, Oregon and the Coast on Hwy 36. Look for
little treasures all along the way, the waterfall slide, the Siuslaw River, little hamlets, deer and elk, forests and more.

The waterfall slide located on the west side of Triangle Lake if you like. Look for the trailhead sign and park in the
parking lot. This is a popular spot, follow the people .... Watch for wildlife: elk and deer too.

Hwy 36 comes connects with Hwy 126 at Mapleton. If you are interested, there is a very nice hike
accessed just east of the bridge on Hwy 126 at Mapleton. To get there, turn left on Hwy 126, cross the bridge, turn
right on Sweet Creek Road, and take the first turnout for the waterfalls hike, overall one of the most beautiful hiking trails
I've found and it's easy. Find a panoply of waterfalls and cascades all along the bank of the creek. Come earlier
in the season for the best views. If you don't mind the rain, try it in winter for a different experience.
