Hellgate: The wild and scenic Rogue River.

Hellsgate is part of the 84 mile segment of the Rogue
River declared a wild and scenic river. As pictured here, the river
flows through the Siskiyou Mountains on its way to Gold Beach on
the Oregon Coast. One time when we stopped here a local
came along to visit. He told us the river rose as high as
the road in the 1964 flood - if you can imagine.
