For the Snugglebug or Snail in everyone ... Snuggle Slugs everywhere ... Unite !
Be sure to print-out and bring directions, grounds, local maps & area tour maps & ask for phone number ... just in case. The water here is tested quarterly and of good taste & quality. Bring Traveler's Checks, Flashlight, Mosquito Repellant, Sunshield, Portable Fan, Oregon Atlas, Preferred Foods, and if preferred your own linens... towels, sheets pillow cases etc. for the cabins, also swimsuits or "skinsuits." If sleeping out, bring extra blankets, pillows, padding, water containers, soap, towels, etc. If sleeping in the "treehouses" or log cabin, bring a lantern(s) for light. Portable gas camp ranges or briquettes. Campfires are illegal due to fire hazards during fire season. There are no native poisonous plants, insects,or snakes in the area surrounding the retreat. Bears & cougars are rare. To fully appreciate the nature and spirit of the retreat one must look beyond the superficial and material to its heart ... as one would an emerald in the rough. Note: We try to maintain a reasonable cleanliness etc., receive compliments and have few complaints, yet our approach and accommodations are not for everyone, nor can one please everyone all the time ... and there is always the unforeseen, occasional human error to consider or simply overlooking something. Also: Renting principally on a longer term basis exempts from regulations governing such categories as motels or hotels, therefore if having reservations about courtesy use items, such as pots and pans, linens, etc., it's best to bring your own or apply additional cleaning etc., as deemed if unsure. Note: It is expected, due to our relatively low rates, that dwellings etc be left reasonably clean and neat upon departure.
