... is personal un-structured non-religious retreat for progress and renewal. My purpose is the highest sustainable use of the land into perpetuity while fostering awareness & a sense of community ... A place where "free thinking" people of "higher mind and spirit" can fellowship with each other and nature.

Of course, I must derive enough income to sustain this endeavor. Constantly pressured to "sell out" and live a life of ease, I have opted to rather try and maintain the natural integrity and character of the land for generations to come. With support this goal can be achieved.

Founder, Brad Kalita, is a musician, composer, artist, as well as a writer. He has designed & constructed the more unique structures at the retreat. "Jack of all trades," he continues to maintain most aspects.

Generally speaking, there won't be further development; rather gradual improvement and refinement in existing facilities, etc. Capacity will be limited to preserve the natural quiet ambience, privacy & untrammeled appearance of the grounds. Although "select gatherings" of a "higher" nature may occasionally, with appropriate discretion, be formed and allowed. The goal of such gatherings would emphasize and integrate both festive and spiritual elements. A sense of community with affinity towards nature & others, to include visitors, as well as, residents, is the intent ... achieving a sort of wholesome "oasis of tranquility" in the midst of the stresses of modern life. A place of inspirational ambience where people can visit or reside, shed their fears, heal, reveal their higher natures, become creatively inspired, contemplate, meditate, commune or simply find peaceful solitude within nature ... this is my hope and dream.

So simple, self-affirming, yet so little known & understood as it is universal nature to bring about positive comprehensive change.

There is nothing more satisfying than kindness for its own sake, giving in wisdom, love & affection with open mind & heart to ones fellow human beings & creatures. Each doing their part can awaken the inner potential for good & become the noble beings & civilizations that were meant to be. It is only lack of apprehension of this universal truth that keeps humankind individually & as a whole & earth in disharmony, suffering & chaos.

Such insights could outwardly be expressed as: Perceiving & evoking the finer sensibilities in self & others. minimizing negativity. Open-minded progressive self-honestly. Compassion & kindness within wisdom. All inclusiveness ... in other words, Goodness (Kindness) For Its Own Sake. It's hard to imagine a more inherently self-affirming/purifying or unifying aspiration "the master(s)" would want followed.

Attachment to things, people, concepts/religion, entities ... though they may indeed embody that which seems worthy of worship and emulation and inseparable, it is what "it" essentially represents in essence, which is of greater importance, value & worthiest of personal & universal dedication/commitment, i.e., kindness, heart centeredness & purification, the "greater or higher-self" being neither dependent or exclusive of entities or faiths ... its higher realms accessible to all seeking wisdom, purification of motive & goodness for its own sake ... That within the heart and which manifests outwardly the qualities of kindness, are of far greater value, influence & of enduring character than all other endeavors in life remembered & treasured above and beyond all else.

If allowed only one word to describe my reason in establishing the retreat Gathering, it would be to provide harbor where people can freely express & cultivate the simple qualities of genuine "Heart" or Kindness for its own Sake. - Founder.

Gatherings of a "higher" nature are occasioned as appropriate. The goal of such gatherings would be to emphasize & integrate both the festive & spiritual leaven non-spiritual elevating elements, the essence of highest calling being purification of motive & its positive manifestations of goodness & kindness.

A sense of community with affinity towards nature & others, to include visitors, as well as, residents, is the intent ... Achieving a sort of wholesome "oasis of tranquility" in the midst of the stresses of modern life where kindred visitors & otherwise can become inspired & empathetically creative through greater awareness & contemplation within a restorative natural peaceful setting. Inspiring an ambience where people can visit or reside, shed their fears, heal & reveal their higher natures through random acts of kindness amongst each other & manifest outwardly ... this is my hope & dream. - bk
