Brice creek is worth visiting whether or not you plan to hike the creekside trail or just drive alongside and enjoy sightseeing. I think it goes without saying, Oregon is beautiful for sightseeing. The above photograph of seasonal waterfall and wildflowers were taken when we were left with no alternative. The hiking trail was closed because it was being dynamited, and new paths laid down. Even without the hike, we had a beautiful journey. Besides, we made our way over to the Layng Creek watershed and the hiking trails there. :-) Brice Creek is a popular trail with hikers, experienced bicyclists and joggers. Plan ahead. Obviously, it would have been a good idea to have called ahead when the trail was being dynamited, so be sure to contact the Cottage Grove Ranger Station: 541-767-5000, before taking off if you're driving any distance. | |||
