Camping and hiking at Trout Creek. The campground is located on the South Santiam River. The trailhead to Trout Creek Hiking Trail is located across the highway 20 from Trout Creek Campground.

Trout Creek Campground is located on the south Santiam River. It's a very popular campground, offering the accommodation of 24 campsites: 16 accommodate RVs up to 24 feet, 8 accommodate RVs up to 32 feet. camping on the river itself is quite lovely as the photographs above and below attest. Facilities at the campground include handpumps, vault toilets, interpretive trail, picnic shelter and paved parking. Enjoy camping, picnicking, hiking, swimming, fishing and a lovely viewpoint. The Menagerie Wilderness can be accessed from Trout Creek Hiking Trail, and the trailhead for Trout Creek hiking trail is directly across the highway. The campground is located 19 miles east of Sweet Home, Oregon on the Over the River and through the Woods Scenic Byway, Hwy 20. Sweet Home, itself, is located east off I -5, south of Corvallis and north of Eugene, Oregon. Fees are quite reasonable at $10.00 a day, plus $5.00 for each additional vehicle.
