Fall River Hotel
| |
As stated elsewhere, Fall River Mills has much to recommend it. Not the least being Fall River Hotel, constructed in 1930, and a remarkable building when one considers its located out in the middle of nowhere. Don't take that comment as one to discourage you from visiting, for I mean just the opposite. And if you need an excuse, Fall River Mills has an annual wild rice festival. You can see the rice growing in the "paddies" in the lowlands by the rivers. As far as the hotel goes, it offers lodging, a saloon, a fine dining room, a little cafe, I call it that for want of a better word, as well as outside tables shaded with umbrellas. Fall River Waterfalls are an added attraction, although they'd be much more appealing if one could hike down to the falls. :-| | |
